API prices change quickly and new models arrive every week. This tracker records prices daily and signals what’s moving: new models, withdrawals, and price variations.
How to use it
- In ‘Latest developments’, filter by type: new models, price changes, or withdrawn models.
- Browse models released in the last 30 days.
- In ‘Model history’, select a model to see the evolution of its input and output prices on a chart.
- Subscribe to the RSS feed to be notified of changes.
The principles behind the calculation
- Once a day, the plugin fetches public prices from OpenRouter and compares them to the previous day’s.
- A model that appears is a ‘new’ event, a model that disappears is a ‘withdrawn’ event, and a difference in input or output price is a ‘price’ event with the percentage variation.
- The history retains each price change: the chart plots plateaus, with the price remaining constant between two changes.
Limitations to be aware of
The tracker does not go back before its launch: a model with no recorded price change has no curve. Prices are those from OpenRouter, which may differ from those of the publishers.
